Trish believes that sports help every individual find their potential and help them overcome struggles, challenges, and develop resilience. Sport is a natural pathway to open doors for travel, research, and furthering your education.
Richmond Roots Trish was born and raised in Richmond, and attended Palmer and McNair. She has been coaching in Richmond for 41 years, 36 of them being at McRoberts.
Did You Know Trish played wheelchair basketball as an able-bodied athlete for over 20 years.
Barriers Overcome Trish was the only woman coaching in the BC championships for girl’s basketball in 1996, and was often not recognized as the head coach of the team.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
Recognition Trish was named High School Girls coach of the year by both Basketball BC and Volleyball BC. She has also received various awards during her coaching career, including the Bill Goodman Memorial Coaching Award, Richmond Sports Award - Coach, and the Richmond Secondary Schools Athletic Association: 30 Years Service Award.

Championship In Wheelchair Basketball, Trish coached teams through three world championships, winning two gold medals and one bronze. She also coached at the Paralympics in Athens (bronze) and Beijing (5th place). Additionally, she coached a team that placed 4th at the World Championships for Field Lacrosse. At the provincial high school level, she coached both junior and senior girls' basketball and volleyball.
