Ronald White
PROFILE
Ron began his contributions to football in Richmond in 1964 and went on to become a coach and administrator at the local, provincial and national level in football.
Richmond Roots Ron, a Richmond resident from 1964 to 2010, was the executive, manager and coach of various football teams and leagues. He also helped establish the Richmond Raiders football program.
Did You Know Ron spearheaded the introduction of the new online drug education program to the Canadian Junior Football League.
Barriers Overcome During the time Ron was president of the BC Football League he has managed to battle and survive cancer and overcome the partial loss of the right shoulder. Ron is now cancer free over the past 19 years.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
Recognition Ron has received a number of distinguished awards for his contributions and commitment to football in B.C. Some of these awards include the prestigious BC Lions Orange Helmet Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 and being inducted into Football BC’s Hall of Fame in 2015. Notably, the Community Service Award for the BC Football Conference is named after Ron White.

Championship From 1964-1969 Ronald coached four Richmond and two Richmond/Delta combined championship teams. His 1972 Roughriders Bantam team won the BC provincial championships.
