Rick Henderson
PROFILE
Rick played both basketball and soccer at the University of Calgary. After completing his law degree at the University of British Columba, Rick commenced the practice of law in Richmond, and still continues in practice.
Richmond Roots Rick was a founding member of the Richmond Sports Council, the Senior Mens Basketball League and the Richmond Masters Basketball League. He also coached Richmond youth soccer, basketball and ringette.
Did You Know Rick was a presenting delegate for both Richmond bids for the 1993 Canadian Summer Games and the 1994 Commonwealth Games.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
Recognition In 1969, Rick received a Major Athletic Award for Soccer from the University of Calgary, and in 1994 Rick received a Special Merit Award from Basketball BC.

Contribution to Richmond Sport He is a founding member of the Richmond Sports Council, the Richmond Senior and Masters Basketball Leagues, and was a member of the Richmond Athletic Commission. Rick also served as a coach for Richmond youth basketball, soccer and ringette, Vice-Chair of the Richmond Facilities Task Force, Chairman of the 1993 Referendum Committee for the Arena and Pool, and participated as a chairman of committees for provincial and national Special Olympics and Games for the Disabled.
