PROFILE

Born and raised in Richmond, Jason’s soccer progressed throughout the city as he played for Richmond Soccer and Richmond High. Jason later went on to compete for Canada at the U-20 and U-23 level with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Richmond Roots Jason, a Richmond High graduate, grew up playing soccer for Richmond Youth Soccer and Richmond High School.

Did You Know Jason turned down a contract from the Colorado Rapids, an MLS team, to play for the Vancouver Whitecaps.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Recognition In 2005 Jason received the Dominic Mobilio Golden Boot Award from the Vancouver Whitecaps. He was also named the USL First Division MVP and was a member of the USL first division all league first team.

Championship In 1996, Jason helped Canada win the U-20 CONCACAF Championship. In both 2006 and 2008 he was a part of the Vancouver Whitecaps USL first division championships. Jason was also a provincial champion in 1996 with Richmond High.

Contribution to Richmond Sport After he retired, Jason turned to administrative and coaching rolls. He became the technical director for Fusion FC, the elite level club representing Richmond and Vancouver in the EA Sports B.C.’s Premier Soccer League.
